Tot School - Ee is for Elephants, Eggs and Esther
Owen & Eli: 37 months
Elephants
Owen and Eli weren't really into the printables this week, so I didn't force it. They wanted to read all of our library books several times and love making the handprint crafts, so we just went with a low key week and had fun with it. The good news is that they have no trouble identifying E and e and know the sounds they make, so everything we did was reinforcement. The boys used their safety scissors for the first time this week and I was really impressed at how hard they worked at them. Not too bad for a first attempt! The counting printable is from here and the stick puppet printable is from here.
Eggs
Our science this week came from talking about eggs and all the different kinds of birds (and other animals) that have their babies from eggs. Many of the egg books from the library were about protecting the babies in the eggs until they hatch and trying to figure out which babies match up with which adult birds. We made this paper plate craft for our alphabet wall.
As often as I can, I'm going to start using a story or character from the Bible along with our letter of the week. For E, we read about Queen Esther and how she saved the Jews and watched the VeggiTales movie 'Esther: The Girl Who Became Queen (A Lesson in Courage).'
Next week, Letter Ff! Other Tot Schoolers can be found here : )

What a great collection of elephant books. The elephant parade is just too cute!
Just found your blog. Your idea of raising them with purpose sounds a lot like my motto with my own kiddos - living life intentionally. In case you want to check my blog out www.livinglifeintentionally.blogspot.com
I love the Elephant parade! How cute! I like the idea of tieing in a Bible person with each letter!
